About Us

Discovery (PP - Third grade)

Discovery is designed to meet the needs and interests of our children in Pre-Primary through Third grades. Discovery includes recreational activities, educational support and specialty offerings, like Amazing Athletes, Bricks for Kids, Gymnastics and Nexplore, that are integrated into the daily schedule. Discovery teachers and contracted vendors work together to bring sports, technology and performance art to all who attend at no additional cost. Discovery students can participate in Enrichment Program, Day School Electives and our newly launched TCS Athletics Program (Third – Sixth-grade students only) for an extra fee.

EPIC [Extended Day Programming through Innovative Curricula] (Fourth - Sixth Grade)

EPIC students will participate in leadership/entrepreneurial development, student-created, high interest clubs and study hall. The EPIC students also will engage in community service learning experiences through partnerships with Piedmont Park, Museum of Design and so much more. EPIC students also have access to the Enrichment Program, Day School Electives and the newly launched TCS Athletics Program (Third – Sixth-grade students only) for an extra fee. We are excited to allow our students to design their own “EPIC” experience!

Enrichment Program

Through the Enrichment program, kindergarten through sixth-grade students may take classes and lessons in visual arts, dance and movement, drama and sports during the fall and spring. These classes, which take place during extended day hours, are available to TCS students and children in the surrounding community.

Day School Electives

Day school electives extend the learning opportunities for TCS students beyond school hours. The primary focus is performance art with an emphasis on developing confidence and stage experiences in a safe performance environment. They are only for TCS students and include TCS Chorus, Jr. Players and Players.

  • TCS Chorus is designed for students interested in choral singing and music appreciation through instrumentation, music theory and choral performance.
  • TCS Jr. Players allows second and third grade students to learn basic theater skills that will develop their confidence, oratorical skills and musical theater talent.
  • TCS Players is our theatrical “amateur” company that produces a stellar musical production each spring while reinforcing the Building Character and Community curriculum throughout the process.
Extended Day programs are available Monday through Thursday from 3:15-6:00 p.m. and 2:15-6:00 p.m. on Friday. A healthy snack is provided. Drop-ins are permitted for a fee of $30.00 per day.
